Changemaker Chats has been looking forward to sitting down with Aimee Johnson, CMO of Zillow Group for a fun and motivating (as well as informative) chat!  Adventurous and energetic, Aimee is a recognized and sought-after thought leader who stands out for her creativity and willingness to challenge the status quo. A visionary who is always pushing generally-accepted boundaries, she is able to rally an organization around what “can be” and isn’t afraid to pursue what is right even when it is not popular.  Fostering a fun, collaborative culture is one of Aimee’s key leadership traits as an inspiring people leader and one that many look up as a mentor and a role model.  At home, she is an active wife and mom of 2 children, who enjoys biking, skiing, boating, dancing and looking for adventures.

Aimee became the CMO of Zillow Group last November following 14 years at Starbucks, most recently as SVP of Marketing Programs and Digital Innovation.  Aimee’s career has spanned a range of industries including, retail, CPG, financial services and tech. Active in her community, Aimee has a particular passion to advance Girls’ STEM projects and is an active member of the Seattle Symphony Board of Directors

ABOUT THE CHANGEMAKER

Aimee’s marketing and customer experience work spans a plethora of industries – retail, CPG, financial services and, most recently, tech. Aimee recently became the CMO of The Zillow Group. Prior to this role, she worked for Starbucks for over 14 years. Her Starbucks roles included the Senior Vice President of Marketing Programs and Digital Innovation at Starbucks where she oversaw  Starbucks Media and Social, Customer Marketing Insights and Analytics, Digital Customer Experiences and Digital Program Innovation.  Prior to that, she ran Starbucks Digital Businesses – Starbucks Rewards, Mobile Order and Pay, Starbucks Card, launched VIA globally; ran the Beverage category; launched Clover and oversaw CSR marketing.  For 10 years prior to her work at Starbucks, she led several businesses at Campbell Soup Company – V8, Prego and Campbell’s Condensed Soup.  While the majority of her roles have been marketing and business oriented, her first five years out of undergrad were as a SAS / SQL Programmer and Change Reengineer working for SallieMae.

Outside of work, Aimee is kept very active by her husband, Wil, and two children, 5 and 6.  They take advantage of everything Seattle has to offer – biking, skiing, boating, dancing, singing and having a grand time romping through their neighborhood looking for adventures.

Additionally, Aimee is active in her community.  She has a particular passion for helping to advance Girls’ STEM projects and is an active member of the Seattle Symphony Board of Directors.

Aimee holds a BS in Marketing and English from Virginia Tech and an MBA from George Washington University.
