CEO, board leader, investor, mentor, and community steward, Wendy Lea is well- versed in the role digital innovation plays in driving growth for global organizations, institutions and economic vibrancy in state, region, and city ecosystems. As a Boulder, CO leader and Changemaker she currently serves as the only female Board member on the Techstars Board.
As a founding team member of OnTarget, a global consultancy delivering “go to market” solutions to tech giants like Oracle, HP, IBM, Cisco and Microsoft, Wendy developed a deep curiosity for the role technology plays in driving growth.
After Siebel’s acquisition of OnTarget in 2000, Wendy focused her resources––talent, time and capital––in early-stage startup innovation, serving as an angel investor and interim CEO to many high growth startups in a range of technology areas, preparing them for new rounds of institutional capital based on their market positioning, capability, and growth metrics.
Since 2014, Wendy has been the CEO of Cintrifuse; a public-private partnership focused on economic vibrancy through startup innovation. She applied her experience and expertise with digital business building, cultivating relationships with venture capitalists, leaning into her network of high-growth talent, and using her unique approach to collaboration. Wendy’s leadership set the conditions necessary for a sustainable innovation economy for the Greater Cincinnati Region, resulting in its recognition as the #1 startup ecosystem in Ohio.
Wendy has applied her passion and mastery to the InterAlliance Board, The Health Collaborative Board, and The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. She’s an active member of Women’s Capital Club and Cincinnati’s Women Executive Forum. Most recently, she was nominated to Miami University’s Institute of Entrepreneurship Advisory Board and joined the State of Kentucky’s new Commercialization Advisory Board.
Wendy’s network extends across the country. She is recognized as a “Woman of Influence” in both Silicon Valley and San Francisco. Wendy serves on the board of venture-backed Techstars and Xyleme and is an active part of Steve Case’s Rise of the Rest Expert Network. A graduate of the University of Mississippi in Business Administration, Wendy now lives in Boulder, Colorado.
